Open afternoon update: 2 rooms almost full

August 21, 2008 - 08:25 — Laurent Haug

Two rooms of the Open Afternoon are already almost full. Here is the program as of today:

Don't forget that you could be presenting at the open afternoon too, and that we have the option to extend the number of rooms in case we have more propositions than available spots.

See current program and propose a presentation.

Better hotel prices until Sept. 24th!

August 20, 2008 - 10:42 — Laurent Haug

We have negotiated with Jeju hotels - and especially our official hotel, the Hyatt Regency Jeju - some rooms at a preferred price. These rooms are blocked for Lifters until Friday, which means that it will be harder for you to get a low price after that date.

So if you haven't booked your travel visit Club Jung-Tour. They are our partner travel agency and allow you to make your bookings at the preferred price in a few clicks, both for the plane and the hotel.

On the tickets from Geneva to Seoul front, the ride will now cost you 1040$ with Finnair, really not a bad price knowing I paid an average of 1'500$ for my last six trips to Korea.

What is a start-up?

August 20, 2008 - 10:21 — Laurent Haug

For Lift Asia we created a very affordable ticket at 250$ for students, NGOs, and start-ups. Our idea is to keep a high level of diversity in the event, and to allow those who can't necessarily pay more to have access to all the people and ideas of Lift.

One question is coming up quite often from: what do we consider a start-up? So here is the rule for Lift Asia: a start-up is a company that has been in business for less than 3 years and employs less than 20 persons.

If you qualify for this price then grab one of the 52 remaining tickets, they won't be here for long!

August 20, 2008 - 00:30 — Laurent Haug

We are now accepting propositions for the Open Afternoon. I added a page linking to the form and showing the current program in the three open rooms. Take your chance and join Alexa Andrzejewski of Adaptive Path who grabbed the first open slot with a presentation called "The Wonderful World of Make Believe".
