Silvio Cioni, born in 1974, is a Interaction Designer and Senior Design Consultant. He is also Adjunct Professor of Digital Media Design at the University of Siena. He enjoys developing projects about mobile interaction, physical tagging and social networking. In 2007 he was the Coordinator of Design Department of Domus Academy. In 2006 he was the Coordinator of the Master in Ambient Interaction at ARSNOVA - Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, Siena in conjunction with the University of Siena, and he obtained his Ph.D. in Telematics and Information Society from the University of Florence. He was also Design Consultant for Infoblu (Autostrade SpA Group). He joined Domus Academy in 2000 and he worked as Interaction Designer at DA Research Center in the area of Interactive Media and Services. From January 2002 until July 2004 he was the Coordinator of Master in Interaction Design at Domus Academy. Before joining Domus Academy, he was a Research Assistant at University of Siena in the area of HCI and New Media design. He graduated in Communication Science at the University of Siena in 1999.
