Authentic Blogging
We're into the wider, deeper potentials of blogging - for human becoming, education, organisational & personal/professional development, dialogue marketing, stakeholder relationships, the global consciousness. You. Me. We. Us. When we teach blogging, we say "the first audience for your blog, is you". It's a simple tool that work towards a range of outcomes, given the right context and support. Yes? Our screencasts are funny and make sure the technical side is well sorted too. Life's too short for boring learning, surely! Really looking forward to good conversations at LIFT08 about where we can keep taking this potential. I grew up in the communications industry, got really cynical about the propaganda machine, then ran away to become an activist. Now I'm back in from the cold and stirring up the pot. I think we can all see positive new ways of connecting, learning, making decisions, creating emerging. It's a good time to be in this space, but what will be our legacy? What will we do that really matters. And how do we make sure online stuff doesn't dominate the visceral, face-to-face world. Is that you behind the screen? Do you have time to come down the pub or are you too busy updating your blog / profiles / twitter stream? I'm highly motivated to use technology, art and creativity for the benefit of all beings and the planet - plus I love having fun and (hopefully) making cool stuff happen. Writing a book called "Authentic Blogging". See e-book at http://authenticblogging.com/books/ Teach / consult on blogging to organisations and offer "fresh writing" sessions for bloggers, creatives, anyone needing to communicate. Based in groovy, digital Brighton (UK) but work all over (coaching, consulting, speaking, teaching). What about you? Come find me and tell me please... I am Australian (try and pick the accent, there won't be many Australian women there) and you can see the smiley photo up above. Looking forward to the surreal fondue moment - generally checking out Geneva - and wondering where to go for a night or two in the alps - without hurtling down mountains on anything smaller than a train. Enough! I type and think fast but, sheesh, off to bed... I guess the first audience for this was.... (you guessed it)... me! I learnt a lot just now be reflecting. Thanks.
