Dr. Jasminko Novak leads the Collaboration and Media Technologies Lab at the Information Management Research Group following his work at the Fraunhofer Institute for Media Communication. Since April 2007 he also acts as Founding Director and Chairman of the European Institute for Participatory Media in Berlin/Zurich/Rome. The results of his work have been published in international journals, conference proceedings (ACM, IEEE) and in several book contributions (Springer). He has co-founded the Center for International Education in Zagreb and has served as advisory board member of the Multimedia Institute in Zagreb. He is also a member of the European Commision's Expert Gruop on User-Centric Media and of the Expert Consultation Group on Future Internet of Creative Media.
