Frank is Director of IdeArk, an IDIAP subsidiary that fosters the exchange between academic partners and industry. Before, as program manager, he was responsible for the industrial relations of IDIAP Research Institute. The objectives of programs under Crittin's guidance include technology and know-how transfer, intellectual property management, identification of commercial opportunities as well as creation of alliances and partnerships.
Prior to joining IDIAP in 2004, Frank completed his PhD in mathematics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technologies (MIT). In parallel to his research work, he has launched and contributed to many industrial projects in the field of logistics and simulation of complex systems. He was a lecturer for the EPFL Executive Master Program organized by the international Institute for the Management of Logistics.
