The Lift Experience is a set of artistic interventions intended to connect and inspire attendees. Discover Lift Asia's experience through the words of the event’s curators, Sey Min and Dooeun Choi of art center nabi.

We all live different lives: we come from different backgrounds and cultures—different life experiences.

Our lives and relationships have had a big transition due to the rapid development in technology, and they are still revolving. One of the obstacles human beings MUST get though is how to communicate with each other when we all come from different backgrounds and have different perspectives. Each one of us is very special and unique—not only physically, but also in spirit. 

In this new digital era, how does technology help us get closer to each other?
What does “getting closer” mean to us now?
How do human beings keep each other company without losing connection?

Lift Asia and Art Center Nabi present a question about the new revolution in ‘human relationships.’
The project “Bonding Company” is an experimental showcase for the ‘opening, sharing, sparkling, and expanding’ in communication.

Good life is not only about knowing good people.
It is more about how you keep those connections with them.
Here, we’re talking about a long term connection, and not something that will end with a spark.

Theme: Bonding Company

Lift Asia Experience will be about "Bonding company", an experimental zone of communication and realationship. It consists of four different sections, which are OPENING, SHARING, SPARKLING, and EXPANDING.

1. Opening zone

When people meet for the first time, they start the interaction by introducing themselves. They slowly open themselves up through the introduction. This is a zone where the artwork and the observer meet and start to open up to each other.

2. Sharing zone

As the people open up they start to share their life stories and experiences. In this zone, people can see where others are from and start to find common interests and similarities. Such process will prompt the people to share more about themselves and further get to know each other.

Abstract :arconn.org is a social network project at where like-minded people share ideas, process and inspirations in media art realm. Opening indivudual relationships and connection, Project randomWalks expects "sharing opportunities, widen collaborations, 'bigger/better' creativity “. Project randomWalks would like to 'picture' how creativity extends and merges in media arts through this network system.

With arconn.org, media artist group, Project randomWalks expects "sharing opportunities, widen collaborations, 'bigger/better' creativity “. Create your profile, leave notes about how you make connections with others, and share valuable information with others.

3. Sparkling zone

Sparks appear. Now the people have introduced themselves and shared personal information. This is the “aha!” moment where they figure out? that they are not total strangers to each other.

4. Expanding zone

At this point people have become acquainted with one another. Now it’s time to let the new relations grow into a stronger bond.

About Lift experience

Lift experience is a set of artistic interventions happening during the event at various locations. Most of the time when you go to a conference, the coffee breaks and off moments provide as much value as the presentations themselves. Instead of ignoring this simple fact, we decided to dedicate a big part of our energy and budget to making these spaces better, friendlier, and more useful, providing different activities that have a real purpose: inspire and connect participants in an original and different way.
