Fontself website usage

February 7, 2008 - 11:28 — Nicholas Wolff

To write posts that will appear with your handwriting:

- You need to fill in a fontself grid with your handwriting, and your handwriting must have been scanned and entered in the fontself system.

- When posting - for instance a blog entry - you should select the "fontself" input format (you may need to unfold the 'input format' element first):

- Your post will appear to everyone with your handwritten font (in this example the default font is used because the poster's font is not in the fontself system yet).

- Note that you cannot use html, hyperlinks, or images in posts that you choose to format with fontself. You should reserve that format for plain, sweet prose posts.

Found some time to test it at last. Quite curious about the result. I will refrain from typing the whole alphabet (both small and caps case) to see ... and let everybody appreciate how good I write :-) Looking forward getting the whole stuff as a pack for MS Office ...

Hi Nicholas, a Question - if you use Fontself - will the contents of your posts be searchable on this site ?? best - Steve ============================================== " There are no passengers on Spaceship Earth. we are all crew. "

Yes the contents of the post

Yes the contents of the post are searchable using the search box of the website.

But when you are displaying a fontself post on a page, searching for a specific word with the browser search (apple-F on my mac with safari) will not find the word.

My handwriting is terrible, so I might only do this once. When I preview it it is pretty shaky, I am that shaky? I have to consider again using it. But it works well, great job! Martijn

Thanks to the Lift Team, but also to the LIFTers I have never had such a productive acceleration in the speed at which my ideas progress as these last 48 hours here. The My Olympic Minute is running so much faster towards its realization. I am a happier person Thanks Vittorio

There used to be a markdown

There used to be a markdown formatting option, no? What happens to posts which were formatted with markdown? Can we have it back?
